We delighted in flying again; even the airport lounge was a novelty after lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"First Day in Copenhagen\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wqo4eGvCd2E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We arrived a couple of days before the tour started to enjoy some time in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Danes rank among the world&#8217;s happiest people, and in Copenhagen, it was easy to see why. The&nbsp;lively city combines royal history,&nbsp;modern architecture&nbsp;and loads of&nbsp;culture&nbsp;with a mouthwatering&nbsp;restaurant scene.&nbsp;And bikes! So many bikes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a little chilly in September, so far north. We were still wearing masks and not eating indoors for fear of getting COVID, so we did a lot of exploring on foot outdoors on our first day. We sought out outdoor dining experiences and were happily rewarded when we discovered a district of canal-side restaurants with warming fires, blankets, and Irish coffee &#8211; such a cozy way to enjoy a meal.
