Unfortunately,<br \/>\nno one at the Immigration office seemed to know what we were talking about, so<br \/>\nwe showed them the paper they gave us at the border. They directed us to a SAT<br \/>\n(Servicio de Administracion Tributaria, or Tax) office in Guadalajara.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<b>SAT #1: Guadalajara<\/b><\/h3>\n<div>\n<b><br \/><\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\nWe Ubered there an eventually found someone who spoke enough<br \/>\nEnglish, who told us we were at the wrong SAT office and that we needed to go<br \/>\nto another one even farther away, in the far northeast neighborhood of Zapopan.<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-9gKyCuvMhDY\/XMYk8bkmOeI\/AAAAAAAA5KA\/hqdlMRx2N-sa4w-Dc9S8B2fZBtWrR4nnwCLcBGAs\/s1600\/IMG_20190206_100939916_HDR.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1200\" data-original-width=\"1600\" height=\"240\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-9gKyCuvMhDY\/XMYk8bkmOeI\/AAAAAAAA5KA\/hqdlMRx2N-sa4w-Dc9S8B2fZBtWrR4nnwCLcBGAs\/s1600\/IMG_20190206_100939916_HDR.jpg\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\nSAT #2: Zapopan<\/h3>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\nWe went there, once again found someone who spoke English,<br \/>\nwho told us we were at the wrong office and that instead of SAT, we needed to<br \/>\ngo the Customs Office at the Guadalajara airport, south of the city. It was<br \/>\ngetting late so we decided that I would do that another day.<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\nSAT #3: Guadalajara Airport<\/h3>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"Standard\">\nTwo days later I made the trip to the Guadalajara Airport,<br \/>\nnot knowing exactly where I needed to go. As I Ubered into the airport I saw a<br \/>\nbig gate with a SAT sign, but continued on to a Customs Office address I had<br \/>\nfound online. No one there seemed to know what I was trying to do. I proceeded<br \/>\nto walk to the SAT sign, and was shown to an office where they seemed to only<br \/>\nbe mildly confused as to what I was trying to do. There was no English spoken.<br \/>\nEventually, I filled out some forms I didn\u2019t understand, gave them copies of my<br \/>\nTIP and passport, and received a date-stamped form. The people at the office<br \/>\nlooked at me like I was crazy. They initially told me that I didn\u2019t need<br \/>\nanything new, but eventually had me fill out the same forms and gave me a new<br \/>\nstamped form.
