Local legend says these springs are the ones that Juan Ponce de Le\u00f3n&#8217;s declared Fountain of Youth, though I don\u2019t feel any younger.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"We Found the Fountain of Youth at Coamo Hot Springs\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tm5Yb3Jnmcg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hot springs are supposed to help ease a number of physical conditions, including diabetes, gout, circulation problems, respiratory issues, and joint pain.&nbsp;We came for the mental health benefits, to sink into the hot water and soothe our anxiety way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Health Benefits<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"649\" src=\"https:\/\/messysuitcase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/1-1-1024x649.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/messysuitcase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/1-1-1024x649.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/messysuitcase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/1-1-300x190.jpg 300w, https:\/\/messysuitcase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/1-1-768x487.jpg 768w, https:\/\/messysuitcase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/1-1-1536x974.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/messysuitcase.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/1-1-2048x1299.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The price was unbelievably cheap &#8211; $5 a person (or $2 if you\u2019re over 60). Bring your own bath towels; none are provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The facility is small, just a small store, locker rooms, a shower, and two thermal pools \u2013 one hot and the other hotter. You\u2019ll also find lounge chairs and tables under large umbrellas around the pools, and there\u2019s a spa offering massages. Coamo is also the home of the renowned Coamo Half-Marathon, and the town itself has abundant recreational trails.
